Tomlinson Hawley Patterson (THP) is a full service contractor engaged in all phases of general construction, design build and construction management in the institutional, industrial and commercial construction markets. THP has been operating successfully and continuously since 1915.

Institutional:

New construction, additions and renovations of classrooms, laboratories, art, drama and recreational facilities, gymnasiums, athletic facilities (indoor and outdoor), computer rooms, special purpose rooms, fire renovations, code and handicap upgrades. New construction and renovation of health care facilities, including laboratories, hospital rooms and facilities, operating rooms, x-ray, NMR and CAT facilities, primary care clinics, kitchen and food service facilities. Church and museum new construction and renovations.

Commercial:

Office buildings; new construction, renovation, interior fit-up, code upgrades and retrofits. Rehabilitation, additions, renovations, upgrading of existing buildings (including historical landmarks) for office and other commercial use.

Industrial:

Manufacturing and process facilities, warehousing, freight and transportation facilities, special manufacturing environments including clean rooms, RFI rooms, computer facilities and special manufacturing process centers. Food process and manufacturing including kitchen, laboratory and test facilities. Chemical process facilities and systems. Generated power, steam and air cooling systems for existing and new facilities as well as wastewater and industrial wastewater plan, process including both construction and upgrade.

A majority of THP construction work is bid through selected list based on reputation, referrals and follow-on work. Awards are often negotiated and many projects represent long-term owner relationships.

THP has a well-established reputation for quality, a high level of integrity, and excellent owner and architect/engineer relations. A cooperative attitude and commitment is maintained at all levels of project management and field supervision.

All projects are managed by experienced construction professionals operating through well-defined areas of responsibility and lines of authority. Owners and architects have ready access to management and jobsite decisions makers. General management, construction management, finance and administration and estimating are separate functions with clearly defined policies and procedures.

Many years of managing a variety of construction projects has provided THP with effective procedures for scheduling, expediting, well organized and timely cost reporting, cost analysis and recordkeeping. All functions of scheduling, budgeting, project cost, reporting and control are computer driven.

Procedures for responsible and timely flow of information and communication between all parties to the construction process have been carefully developed. THP is recognized as a competent, thorough and efficient project administrator. Management and administration of jobsite meetings and control and tracking changes has brought THP special recognition.

THP employs its own skilled, full-time labor in the area of field supervision, foremen, carpenters, masons and laborers. The company owns, maintains and operates a complete equipment spread for trucking excavation and hoisting, as well as all types of construction support tools and equipment.

THP maintains complete broad form insurance coverage with C.N.A. Insurance Company. The Company is bonded by Travelers.
